At Fairways Funeral Directors, not only do we provide high quality, transparent and affordable services. We financially give back to local charities within our communities.

We have pledged to donate a percentage of our fees from every single attended funeral service to local independent charities each year to help support their ongoing efforts and wonderful work within Sunderland. This means that when you choose Fairways, you are also supporting local charities throughout our City.

The organisations and charities we have helped support so far.

North East Dementia Care Unit Sunderland

A registered charity that provides day-to-day care that is dementia specific and person-centred to meet the needs of the individual person with Dementia in a warm, welcoming, and safe environment.

St. Benedict’s Hospice Sunderland

A charitable organisation that has provided free specialist palliative care to the people of Sunderland and surrounding districts since 1984.

Highcliffe Residential Care Home Sunderland

A residential care home in Sunderland that offers excellent dementia care and has been rated as gold standard by the Sunderland City Council.

The Ivy House Football Club

A group of local Sunderland-born gents from various working backgrounds that formed a Sunday League Football Club that started their first season in 2024.
