Our staff have either conducted, officiated, or logistically been involved in over 1000 funerals since 2024, so we think it’s safe to say that we understand funerals. We ensure that everyone is treated as an individual whilst reflecting their final journey with pride, compassion, and dignity whilst delivering a service that also expresses their wishes, character, and personality.

2022 was the year Fairways became a new idea for Sunderland. This idea to form a new local, independent Sunderland-based funeral directors with an encompassed ethos and a forefront wish to help serve more families by delivering trustworthy, dedicated, and personalised funeral services for people's loved ones within our community.

Fairways Funeral Director Sunderland is and will always remain fully independent, and we were also put into Sunderland to help and support local initiatives, charities and other local organisations along the way whilst helping other local businesses thrive. We ensure all of our products and services offered at Fairways Funeral Directors are locally sourced and handcrafted by various independent companies within Sunderland and its surrounding areas.

At Fairways Funeral Directors, we have a range of different services and choices to suit personal wishes, requirements and budgets. We aim to keep our funeral choices affordable and we have also pledged to donate a fixed percentage of our funeral service fees to local charities at the end of each financial year.
